Deep Etching Process * Our vendor starts with high quality glass, one grade below crystal. * This ensures the glass will stand up to the deep etching process, and will last many years in your home. * They use a sand etching method that results in a much deeper, high quality etching than you find with the automated acid etching process. * The artisan cuts into the surface of the glass with a pressurized abrasive material. * Each glass is cut separately, and each takes at least fifteen minutes to etch. * The result is amazing, like cut crystal, and is something you must run your finger over to fully appreciate. |
